Meet the Flavours Catering + Events Team!
You can check out our Team Bio here on our website!
Belinda spent her adolescence growing up in the hospitality industry, as she managed the restaurants that her parents owned. Following a period where she later managed a high-profile national catering firm, Belinda decided to launch her own company that would ultimately delight clients Sydney-wide.
When Belinda is not with her Flavours Catering + Events family, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons. Belinda’s favourite menu item would be – anything chocolate! But in particular she cannot resist our “Chocolate Brownie Baby Bites”.
Belinda is rarely seen without her trusty partner in crime, Chris Watts, our General Manager.
Having worked with food since the age of fifteen, Chris has vast experience in numerous supervisory and managerial roles in the hospitality industry, in particular in Catering. Chris was the first employee that Belinda took on following the launch of Flavours and his role has evolved significantly; having first started making sandwiches and delivering orders, he now provides leadership and vision to help shape the future of Flavours Catering + Events with Belinda.
Chris spends his weekends with his family, boating and beaching, as well as experimenting in the kitchen. He also admits to a fondness for Microsoft Excel which satisfies his inner geek. He loves anything with the famous Flavours “House-smoked chicken”.
Having been with Flavours for the past year, our Executive Chef, Blaire Cooper has really taken the bull by the horns and developed the Flavours Catering Menu to be the best in Sydney.
Blair brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Flavours. An industry veteran, he has been a chef for twenty six years, and has worked at numerous top restaurants and catering firms, both locally and abroad, including Shanghai and London. His role at Flavours entails overseeing the entire production of the kitchen, as well as menu development, management of staff, and working with Belinda and Chris to define the culinary direction that Flavours will take into the future.
When asked what he likes doing when he is not here in the Flavours kitchen cooking up a storm, Blaire likes to jump in puddles and take romantic walks on the beach – this was said tongue-in-cheek!
Sharon Watts is the Kitchen Operations and Dispatch Manager; the one that keeps all the crazy Chefs in line and makes sure that your catering is all there and ready to leave the kitchen! Prior to joining Flavours, Sharon worked in the retail food industry for fifteen years as a delicatessen manager. With a keen eye for detail, Sharon’s expertise is central to managing our quality assurance procedures and oversees the logistics of all outgoing orders.
Sharon loves barbeques, dining out, catching a movie and relaxing with friends over a tipple or two. Sharon is particularly fond of our hearty ‘Twice cooked pork belly, masterstock caramel, micro herbs served on betal leaf’.
Wayne Henderson is the loyal accomplice of Blaire, again, keeping things in the kitchen in order (they can get a little crazy in there!). A seasoned chef with immense experience, Wayne brings a great deal of value to Flavours. With almost twenty years in the industry, he has enjoyed much career success having worked in some of Sydney’s leading restaurants and hotels. He is both passionate and innovative, key attributes that are essential in the kitchen, especially given that he is tasked with overseeing the training of our younger chefs.
When he’s not in the Flavours kitchen, you’ll find Wayne riding his motorcycle, cooking for his family or playing a game of squash. Wayne is a little bit of a softy when it comes to the Flavours famous House Made Marshmallows!
Our Logistics manager, Peter Klianis, heads the Flavours Catering + Events team of Delivery drivers, ensuring your catering orders; arrive on your doorstep, on time, and in one piece! Peter has over fourteen years experience in the logistics industry, including a period working as an operations manager and sales representative with a firm specialising in corporate relocations; he also runs his own company ‘Austech Logistics’. His primary responsibility at Flavours includes assigning delivery runs, refining logistical procedures and overseeing all deliveries and equipment collection.
When he’s not navigating the traffic, Peter likes to hit the golf course, as well as playing tennis and soccer with his mates. The mini pappadum with tandoori chicken is definitely the winner of Peter’s taste buds!
Our three wonderful events Managers, Leah, Liz and Clare all have amazing attention to detail, working perfectly in the Events business. They will look after any events from Weddings, Birthday Parties, Engagement Parties and Christmas Parties to Office Functions, Conferences and Training Seminars and Product Launches. You name it, these girls can do it!
Liz brings a great deal of experience to Flavours having worked in a managerial role at a fine dining restaurant, as well as an events coordinator at a high profile national franchise. Her role as events manager at Flavours entails the organisation and supervision of all private and corporate events. She liaises with our Executive Chef and Logistics Manager to ensure all events run smoothly.
When she’s not overseeing a Flavours event, Liz enjoys dining out, listening to live music, and she doesn’t mind a fine drop of wine every now and then.
Leah came to Flavours with twenty years hospitality experience, of which ten of those have been spent in weddings and event management, she brings a diversity of knowledge and resources to the team. She has managed countless events in some of Sydney’s finest venues and has worked closely with many keynote corporate clients. Her vastly impressive résumé reaffirms Flavours’ position as being at the forefront of the events industry and our ability to deliver truly memorable events.
When she isn’t in the office, Leah likes to play with her two nephews as well as hit the shops for a little retail therapy. Claiming to have a bit of a sweet tooth, Leah cannot resist our house-made tartlets including the ‘Chocolate Ganache with walnut praline’, ‘Caramel macadamia’ and ‘Lemon meringue’

Our final Event Manager Clare found her passion for catering, events, great food and sparkling service whilst studying a tertiary qualification in Business Catering Operations. She has had 20 years of experience in hospitality including; catering, events, retail, wholesale and manufacturing, with extensive experience in catering for weddings and corporate events.
When she isn’t in the Flavours office, she loves to cook, in particular Thai and Vietnamese cuisine, and surfing – not at the same time I presume. Her favourite menu item from the kitchen here in Artarmon? Absolutely anything with an Asian influence!
Meet Jacqui, our always smiling customer service representative, catering and events assistant. Actually, there is very little that doesn’t do at Flavours Catering + Events! Following her diploma in events management, Jacqui knew that she had found her calling… and then Flavours found her! Her natural enthusiasm and sunny disposition makes her an ideal candidate to oversee our customer service in the corporate division, and is always available to help talk our clients through our menu or to assist with any queries they might have.
We then have Lauren working in business development, and assisting in the marketing of the business. Flavours catering and Events has so far been the perfect role and she is looking forward to proving to everyone that the food truly is the best in Sydney.
Lauren has worked in hospitality for three years and is well-versed on how to create events with serious x-factor. She takes a particular interest in the planning process and loves working behind the scenes where she can see an event go from concept to completion. She has a Bachelor of Arts (Major in French & Cultural Studies) and her previous professional experience includes working in business development within the property sector.
Emma is the event sales coordinator here at Flavours, she listens to what you want and need, and makes sure that your own individual quote is tailored to your every need. All of this – and she does it within 24 hours of you calling or emailing Flavours!
Emma is an event aficionado having worked in hospitality for five years, honing her skills in customer service at numerous well-known restaurants, bars and event venues. Her tertiary studies include a Diploma of Events Management recently completed in 2010. Emma has an infinite enthusiasm for the events industry and has proven herself to be a creative hands-on type who is always ready to assist in any way she can.
Her love of good food and wine extends beyond the office, as she enjoys dining out with her friends in her spare time. Emma can often be spotted lazing around on one of Sydney’s beautiful beaches.
Last but not least is Gemma in accounts. Although not many understand all the numbers she is punching into the computer every day, she is definitely an essential part of the Flavours family!
I am sure that Flavours Catering + Events would be a lost Sydney Catering company without all these people and the support that they bring to the office and kitchen staff on a day to day basis, bringing delightful, mouth-watering food, from our kitchens to you!
The Flavours Catering + Events family has been rapidly growing since day dot, 7 years ago, when Belinda Sullivan, the owner and managing director, started her Catering business from her own kitchen at home. It definitely isn’t something that everyone can do! With plenty of hard work, Belinda’s team is now bursting through the 25 person mark, and growing ever so quickly.
